Nura Hashi Jama
Founder & Lead Teacher
A qualified Quran teacher with formal training in Tajweed and the Quranic sciences, holding ijazat in three qiraat and over fifteen years of experience teaching the Quran. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Shariah and Islamic Studies from the University of Sharjah and is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Tafsir and Hadith.
Her journey is deeply personal. As a non-native Arabic speaker, she struggled for years with pronunciation until she was able to truly master the makharij al-huruf. That experience shapes the way she teaches today—with patience, precision, and a deep understanding of the challenges her students face.
Nura is known for combining strong scholarly foundations with genuine care. She works closely with each student—listening, correcting, and encouraging—creating a space where women can build confidence and recite the Quran correctly, no matter where they begin.
She founded Nutuq Academy with a clear mission: to make high-quality, attentive Quranic instruction accessible to women everywhere.
